Recipient of the 2008
Wishart Award for Excellence in Non Profit Management 24-Hour CRISIS LINE - 724-335-6242 Intellectual Disabilities Services Our Residential Services Program for people with Intellectual Disabilities serves individuals over the age of 18 with a mental retardation diagnosis who are in need of respite or residential placement. Our Community Living Arrangement (CLA) Program provides long-term residential supports in handicapped-accessible homes in the community to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The program offers support twenty-four (24) hours a day, every day of the year. We are dedicated to promoting life-style choices and independence for persons with intellectual disabilities. Individuals in our program are assessed to determine their support needs in areas such as daily living skills, budgeting, shopping, safety skills, community awareness and recreation. We then help them to achieve success by working with them to establish individualized goals and objectives. Community Homes are individualized settings in which individuals share their home, with each resident having their own private bedroom. Support is provided by trained and experienced staff according to individual needs. Our Community Living Arrangement program provides individuals with the opportunity to live a life as independently as possible with proper means of support. The program enables individuals to have meaningful social interactions with those they live with as well as the greater community. Contact: Tracey McKinnon 412-447-0128 McKinnonT@fswp.org
