     1) conducting an ethnographic study of the university-agency partnership;

2) conducting studies documenting the differences between clinician and    individuals served perspectives around engagement strategies; and

     3) disseminating evidence-based intervention training to clinicians at FSWP.

  The intention of the research focus is to improve engagement of individuals in treatment, prevent treatment dropout, enhance treatment outcomes, and increase service satisfaction.

OUTCOMES

Family Services of Western Pennsylvania continuously strives to improve and provide quality programming for individuals who receive services at the Agency.  One mechanism utilized to attain this goal is the yearly outcome reporting process in which supervisors from all programs participate.  The Department of Research & Quality Improvement supports the supervisors’ efforts by providing training and on-going assistance.  Each year, program leadership evaluates their program for effectiveness and report on the service outcomes that have been achieved.  The Logic Model is applied for reporting outcomes and tracking forms are utilized to collect data. As part of the continuous quality improvement objective, supervisors then utilize the findings of their evaluation to improve program system issues.
