Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers (IVC) of Southwestern PA, a Faith in Action program is a service of Family Services of Western Pennsylvania,  which serves the greater Pittsburgh's aging population. The mission of IVC is to maximize the independence and overcome the isolation of the frail elderly in Allegheny County. IVC recruits volunteers from the community at large and through its network of 48 diverse religious congregations throughout Allegheny County. Volunteers provide critical in-home, non-medical services that assist frail seniors with the tasks of daily living. IVC recruits, trains, mobilizes and supports these volunteers and enables frail older adults to remain independent in their own homes. Currently, 450+ volunteers are active in the IVC program, providing service to nearly 1,000 older adults each year.

Please call the IVC office at (412)345-7420 or (412) 661-1670 or send an email inquiry to steigerwaltR@fswp.org. Our regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you leave a voice message, we will return your call as soon as possible.
